The Sports Source



The Sports Source, a Bermuda-based retailer of athletic footwear, brand name urban apparel, and professional sports Jerseys, approached Yabsta Digital looking to bolster their in-store sales through a new Web site and social media strategy.

The Yabsta Digital creative/UX team crafted a visually rich site experience emphasizing strong product visuals and social callouts to their growing fan following on Facebook and Instagram.
Large set headlines and distressed graphic treatments inspired by sneakerhead culture and street graffitti art give the site an energetic urban feel.

The home page incorporates a large feature banner area for broadcasting seasonal promotions and sales and also showcases the store’s latest product arrivals. The photography is designed to wet the customer’s appetite and set the stage for a visit to the store through close-ups emphasizing the vibrant colours and textures of the latest gear to hit the shelves.

The feature broadcast area is flanked by several interchangeable Advertising banners in 3 columns providing space for related sneaker blogs, links to their social pages, and callouts to feature brand names sold in-store and their respective Web sites.

In terms of development technologies, the Yabsta Digital Web development team built a scaleable database-driven product section the client is able to self manage and customize over time as their needs evolve.
